Falling, slowly, softly.. the gentle breeze silently flows through me
I lay alone, awake, alive.. pondering my breath and heart's steady tempo

At once the floor moves around me, the world a mere blur as a shadow
I glide with simple ease, yet unease flickers within.. a tremor of dread

Approaching! The pounding of drums quickens! Each beating a heavy rhythm
Resounding in echoes, within the vaults of me... then gone. Gone!

The binding cords so tight, yet seemingly undone.. not so! A mere illusion, yet the clamp so unreal as to be real..
Weaving its tendrils around my being, my now quiet heart.

Aside a pool that mirrors all, gazing upon this stranger and yet stranger still
Reflections of one so familiar, so close... yet untouchable as if an invisible barrier surrounds it

The scent of dusk creeps in, arise!
Melting into darkness, that flowing satin a smooth cover to hide that which pads silently

Then gone again! and with it a sense of longing overwhelms me...
